This summer, I spent five weeks in the University of Chicago and I really enjoyed the journey. I felt in love with UChicago from the very first sight. The large neat lawn, the buildings along the street.
Speaking of our life in the UChicago, we’ve stayed in the international students’ dormitory, which is quite convenient and walking distance to the dining hall and classroom. We also had a lot fun playing fly disk with local teenagers. The courses we took were taught by excellent teachers, I’ve learned a lot in our classes and also had fun in learning. Besides, our RA is very interesting and passionate. I really appreciate those activities that UChicago has arranged for us, such as the field trip of Federal Reserve Bank, the Innovation Center, Booth School of Business and etc.
Our life outside the campus is also exciting. Chicago is really a lovely city with a lot of fantastic museum, wonderful consumer places and amusement places. The jazz festival gave us the experience of typical American lifestyle. All in all, the summer session is great.
It’s hard to summarize what I have learnt from the month in Chicago. And I really appreciate ShanghaiTech University for offering such a great opportunity and both ShanghaiTech University and Amgen for the financial support.
